Vegetarian Diet

The Gnostic Caliphate stresses that unless you are starving, meat eating is not tolerated. 
Unless you’ve killed the animal yourself, you should not eat meat. 
It is much healthier to eat vegetarian. 
I’ll publish some vegetarian recipes in the new year to get people started. 

Islamic Virtues

Ive recently collected what I believe to be central points of Islam. 
Islam has some extreemists, but by far most of them are peaceful. 
The virtues are as follows:

Cherity. 

Prayer. 

Pilgrimmage. 

Statement of faith. 

Fasting. 

Honesty. 

Good deeds. 

Smiling. 

Sobriety. 

Chastity. 

Honoring parents. 

Faithfulness. 

Modesty. 
These are crucial tenents of Islam. 

I love Islam and Muslims. 
Peace to brothers and sisters worldwide. 

Laws of Noah

Jews believe non Jews should follow these laws

1) believe in God

2) do not blaspheme God

3) do not kill

4) remain sexually pure and faithful

5) do not steal

6 ) no meat

7) establish courts

I would add that it’s important to speak the truth. Honor thy father and mother. Do not rape.

These laws guarantee the believer has a place in the world to come.

Since we recognize Jewish prophecy and that prophecy continues its important to support the Jewish community.

Happy Ramadan

It’s my second Ramadan since accepting the Quran as prophecy and recognizing Mohammad as a prophet.

Last year I only fasted a few days. I encourage everyone to fast for the next 20 something days.

I’ve been watching khutbahs on YouTube and reading the Quran. I also bought an app that will help me read the Quran in Arabic. Inshallah!!!

New Years Update

Well it’s a new year the holiday season is over. I’ve been busy studying islam and the Middle East.

I’ve been watching khutbas on YouTube.

I read “The Devil We Know”. A book on modern Iran. I learned that Iran and Shiites are becoming more and more influential. They are achieving this through organizations like Hezbollah.

I read “Islam” by Hans Kung. It was a general overview of islam. It was well written. I learned that Arabia has been exclusively Muslim for centuries. Islam is a truly great religion and Mohammad a truly great man. I thought the book would be critical of islam but rather it is an objective view.

I read ” the Turks Today” by Andrew Mango. Turkey is a modern secular country that fits the mold of “islamic humanism ” They do face challenges but I think Turkey could be an example for other Muslim countries around the world.

There have also been negative stories about islam in the news. The attacks in France and continuing attacks and atrocities by ISIS.

I condemn these attacks and share belief with Bahai faith that a religion is not valid unless it is peaceful.

I’m going to read more books in the coming months. I’ll try to post summaries or maybe some khutbas from local mosques. Peace be upon you.

Tolerance

Jesus taught us to “love our enemies”. As Gnostics I would extend that to ” love everyone with a different viewpoint “.

This means following Christ by loving and respecting Islam , Buddhism , Hindu, Neopagan or any other philosophies.

Be an example. Be tolerant towards others.

Im eating halal only meat

I’ve decided as a recent convert to Islam to give up non halal meat.

What is Halal meat?  It is meat that is blessed by muslims similar to kosher if you are jewish.

I cannot eat pork so no bacon or carnitas.

I want to mention the Mission Ranch Market for its halal kabob kobideh and also Doner G in Irvine for its halal gyro meat.

If I cannot find halal meat I will eat vegetarian.  We are told in the Qur’an that there are gardens where there are fruits.

It is my opinion that you cannot follow islam and drink alcohol so I’ve decided to drink juice such as pomegranite or orange juice and coffee.

Buddha, a Gnostic Prophet

Buddhism is a world wide religion with millions of followers around the globe.  Our community recognizes Buddha as a Gnostic Prophet who brought a message of peace to the world.  We are encouraged to treat Buddhists with respect even though they don’t follow Islam.  We share a message of peace which is what I call “islamic humanism”.

There are five precepts that are common to both Islam and Buddhism

1. No murder or violence

2. No lying

3. No stealing

4. No sexual immorality or rape

5. No intoxicants

A follower of Buddha is regarded as a valid in his philosophy but it is the duty of a Muslim to teach Islamic history, philosophy and scripture (the Qur’an and Sunnah) to those who are in a state of Ignorance.

Are Satanists Islamic?

I recently read the Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey.

I’ve noticed some common themes in it that are similar to islam.

-Muslims can indulge.

A muslim is allowed four wives.  Unlike christians they can divorce.  We can indulge in fruits and vegetables.  The Qur’an says there will be gardens where fruits and wine will be available as well as faithful spouses.  Halal meat is another form of indulgence.  A muslim is not celibate and can enjoy sex as long as it is done in private.  Gnostics follow christ in wine as  sacrament.  A moderate amount of wine has shown to have benefits to health.  We also support legalization of medical marijuana for such disorders as depression, anorexia, insomnia or other afflictions.

-Muslims are vital.

Muslims live a life of prayer and fast ramadan.  They are spiritually devout. Muslims don’t pollute their mind with drugs.

-Muslims are wise.

A muslim has the text of the Qur’an and the Sunnah or sayings and deeds of the prophet.  Gnostic caliphate also recognizes prophets, saints and philosophers like Buddha or Machiavelli.

-A muslim is a friend to those who are like minded.

A muslim is taught to not make friends or allies with non muslims.   We increase taxes on other faiths until they become part of the community.

-A muslim fights those who persecute them.

Muslims are not taught to turn the other cheek.  This is one of the most striking examples of a similar theme to Satanism and Islam.  Jihad.

-A muslim is responsible

Muslims accept responsibility for the poor and we have the Mosques to provide a community for the faithful.

Now what are some of the differences?

A muslim is god conscious.  A Muslim does not live like an animal but rather like the prophets or like the angels in heaven.

A muslim rejects the sins of the bible.   Sin is an evil nature and will be punished in the afterlife.

Muslims recognize Satan (shaitan) as the enemy of mankind.  It is wrong to worship him and wrong to give your life to him.

Anton LaVey and his Church of Satan are a response to the culture of corruption in the church and the judeo-christian philosophy of the Abrahamic faiths.  Mankind is frustrated with the idea that God cannot let man indulge or lives like slaves.  Islam is a path that is a better alternative to modern Christianity and Satanism.

United Nations Calendar

We recognize the creation of the United Nations in 1945 AD as the first year of global governance and victory of the enemies of Israel and victory against oppression.

Let this be a new era of peace.  We donate monies to the United Nations and accept global government.

Let us embrace the enlightenment philosophy of freedom of religion.

Let us embrace “Islamic humanism” or Islam without violence.  Let us end the death penalty.  Let us end all warfare.

We will be starting a petition to reject all forms of violence amongst Muslims.

Let us follow the example of Christ to “love thy neighbor.” and “love our enemies.”
